Title: Theodore--Donald--Karabotsos Ceremonial Ash spreading service.
Post by: cckeiser on March 23, 2011, 12:26:08 AM
I don't know why no one thought of this before!? ???
Fuckin' Amateurs!  ;D
Ok dudes, especially dudes in LA, here is a guaranteed money making business you can start for little to no investment and only have to actually work one day a year...March 5th!

When I die I want to be cremated and have my ashes put in a Folgers  coffee can and committed to the bosom of the Pacific at the very same Sunken City cliff were Donny's ashes were "tossed".
I would also like someone dressed as Walter speak the ceremonial eulogy Walter did for Donny and say the exact same thing. Would also like a Dudeist Priest officiating and standing in for The Dude.
Here is a copy of the ceremonial words:
copied from: http://www.awesomefilm.com/script/biglebowski.txt
Donny was a good bowler, and a good
man.  He was. . . He was one of us.
He was a man who loved the outdoors,
and bowling, and as a surfer explored
            the beaches of southern California
from Redondo to Calabassos.  And he
was an avid bowler.  And a good
friend.  He died--he died as so many
of his generation, before his time.
In your wisdom you took him, Lord.
As you took so many bright flowering
young men, at Khe San and Lan Doc
and Hill 364.  These young men gave
their lives.  And Donny too.  Donny
who. . . who loved bowling.

      Walter clears his throat.

                  WALTER
            And so, Theodore--Donald--Karabotsos,
in accordance with what we think
your dying wishes might well have
been, we commit your mortal remains
            to the bosom of.

Walter is peeling the plastic lid off the coffee can.

                  WALTER
the Pacific Ocean, which you loved
            so well.

AS HE SHAKES OUT THE ASHES:

                  WALTER
            Goodnight, sweet prince.

Ok, that is what I would want, and unless I am mistaken, so would a whole lot of other dudes in the world...am I wrong?...Ok then.
The problem is dudes, who can I contact to do the honors for me and my special lady?
All a LA dude needs to do is set up the service and advertise said services for a nominal charge.
And I do mean nominal...just because we're bereaved doesn't mean we're Saps!

Do you have a job sir? Are you employed? You don't go out on a week day dressed like that do you?
Well fuckin' A right you do! As the Official Dudeist caretaker and officiator of the Theodore--Donald--Karabotsos Ceremonial Ash spreading service, you fuckin'-a do!  ;D
And only once a year dude!  How cool is that!? 8)

cc dude, sounds like an awesome idea to me. The perfect burial for any dude! And as long as there's a Ralph's around we won't have to rent the burial urn.

good idea sir.

I personally have always wanted to have my ashes put into a fire work and shot off at a beach, but i think thats pretty expensive, and that seems like a great alternative.

:D   I DIG IT!

I already have plans to scatter my ashes in a couple of different places, but I would be honored to have some of them tossed into the Pacific from a folgers can.

Looks like i need to make other plans here dudes.
I am looking for any dude who lives in or near the Sunken City cite in LA who would be willing to do me the honor of spreading my ashes in the dudely manner?

Time may be an issue here.

Anyone?

You can send me a private message if you wish.

Personally I always wanted the full viking thing, the longboat, the human sacrifice, the burning arrows into the boat as it floats out to sea.

I do have to ask (sorry on the practical side) are you able to get a good supply of Folgers cans. Also if you can would it be possible to stock and ship them to the rest of us outside the US?

See there in itself would be a business opportunity in itself.

Would you like them with or without the coffee?
Actually, I think you can order Folgers on line dude.

Technically speaking Walter spread the ashes.
But everything with him is a travesty.
