new here ,but big lebowski has been my go to sleep movie for months. This may not be new but i've noticed one definite mistake/glitch, in the opening bowling scene, the hispanic guy that spares the split, throws an orange ball and a green ball knocks the pins over(or vice versa). Also when the dude is leaving the bowling alley with walter i think the dog disappears.

Welcome to our beach community complete with topless chicks on trampolines (I wish)! There are a few glitches in TBL, but we still abide in what is known as a great flick mistakes or no. Grab a brew, bars' over there, dude.
oh hell yeah, i didn't detract from the movie in anyway,in fact watching anything so closely and so often to notice this kind of minutia,it's more an homage than a criticizum

Mistakes? ??? What mistakes? ??? There are no mistakes dude, just as there are no accidents! Just bad timing! ;D
You know, like the calendar of Francis Donnelly's desk reads Feb 22 1997...just bad timing dude! ;D

greetings fellow dude,
Continuity errors, I find, are the bread and butter of the film world. When one of us movie heads sees a goof, it's kind of like a little win. "AH!, They are human. "
My favorite C.E. in TBL is the scene when AUTOBAHN is at the dinner ordering lindenburg pancakes, and you can see the crew in the reflection of the window as they dolly track into the close up.
No movie or television series is flawless, and rightly so. The stories and characters may be make believe, but making the movie is a job just like anything else. Shit happens.
Most of the time, it's awesome shit. Just like the Dude.

Those aren't mistakes they are subliminal messages to the initiated. Why do you think you have ended up here?
BTW Any rug in the place, bars over there, welcome Dude.
I never really noticed that. Good eyes, dude.
If this ever comes out on Blu ray. We'll probably see a whole lot of things we never seen before.
Anyone hear anything about when this is coming out on Blu ray? What's the hold up??
How about the scene in the limo? You see The Dude sipping on a half-empty Caucasian while shooting the breeze with the driver. The camera then cuts to the driver for a moment, but then cuts back to the duder holding a mysteriously (miraculously?) replenished beverage!

A split second is all you need if you're stealing drinks from a limo. The bars in those things aint cheap, and if you're quick just slight tilt of the wrist with some vodka is all you need.
I noticed another. Right at the end of Donny's ashes scene, Just as they are done hugging. You can see a man walking near the edge of the cliff. Upper right hand corner. Looks like the guy was just walking by and got caught in the greatest film ever made. Lucky bastard.
I noticed that myself before, but I dunno if that's really a mistake. it's a public area, so legally they have to post signs that filming is in progress.
most likely a lot of people were there that day, as i've heard it's usually a pretty happenin spot. So they did the best they could.
I'm always looking out for boom poles, shadows of the crew, reflections, continuity errors between the script and location/dates/etc,
i love hunting for that shit.
