I've read through all of the three main books (Bible, Qran and Torah) and still...
These three books (and the religions sparked from them) created so much chaos, suffering, wars, injustice, split families and couples, made people psychotic. That is something Dudeism will never do.
So yes, I wanna be part of this movement, as it is peacefull and nobody yet (I do HOPE SO !) has killed anybody in the name of the Dude !
Long live the Dude !

Welcome dude, take any rug in the house and join the tribe.
To me, Dudeism is the religion of no religion; more of a path of abiding.

Main books, dude I think you may have missed one. ;D
Pick up a copy of the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu (http://www.yellowbridge.com/onlinelit/daodejing.php). A very good read.
My own favourite version (http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&client=opera&q=Tao+Te+Ching+by+Lao+Tzu+Translated+by+Gia-fu+Feng+and+Jane+English&cid=8843146247784199392&ei=ydNTTfrrBIit-Ab5t8GABA&sa=title&ved=0CAcQ8wIwADgA#p).
And there is always the Dudeist version (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7640997-the-dude-de-ching).
Like Meekon said, you missed a few "big books", there is a whole other half of humanity that does not use those books, Tao and Buddhism are just as big. But the west is xenophobic, so you probably never heard that half the world is not Abrahamic.
That said, welcome, sounds like you will find what you are looking for here Dude.
Peace

From figures I can find only about a third of the worlds population is actually Abrahamic, they get most of the headlines because they tend to be the loudest shouters at the moment. And most of the time it's them squabbling amongst themselves.
welcome where have you been? just chill out relax and abide
Welcome here Indralia, help yourself to a Caucasian over at the bar. There should be some kahlua left.
As for the books, I am reasonably familiar with the bible (my upringing) and once went through a koran translation, too. Generally I agree with your assessment of them.
Haven't yet read the Tao Te Ching. But already got me a copy.
Again, welcome in this lovely beach community.
Faithfully BE
