Perhaps I should have put this in the "Funnies" as it's just for fun (or is it?); what with New Year coming up. Dudes, design a Tartan for Dudeism. It's as easy falling off a chair. Here's the link to the site (once you have your design as you want it, click on it and that will give you a fabric look pic that you can copy): http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartandesign/design (http://www.scotweb.co.uk/tartandesign/design)
Gold (yellow) and tan (the Dude's bowling colours), green to symbolize (erm) an everyoung outlook despite (the grey) of advancing years.

In this one I have added some red (Folger Coffee Can Red) in remembrance of Donny ;)

C'mon, Dudes, Tartan Up!
Here's a variation:

Although I favour the smaller check design apparently this is not good for a Tartan (according to the design software at source)' this is considered (size wise) a good design:

That's fucking interesting, man, that fucking interesting.
Cake dude, that would make an awesome pair of shorts for the dude. That, a robe and his jelly saddles, would kick ass and be a very dude like fashion statement.
Even works on the female form.........

Dude fashion for 2011. Far fucking out, man.
@DB :P
Here's my last effort (with a little black so that we never forget the ever present danger of nihilism (Donny killers). I'm sure other Dudes could do better:

NICE. : )
If you ever go to Edinburgh (my home town) and you're on the Royal Mile (the High Street) as we like to call it...you will find many Tartan and ancestral History purveyors....
I one hundred percent guarantee that even if you are a hick from Hicksville, Nowhere State, these guys will find you Ancestry and a Tartan relating to your name... It's the History...don't you know!
At 500 quid a kilt and accessories....it's not a bad business...playing on American saps who wish to be related in some way to Celtic tradition.... " Aye now, your name..... Mr Kowielsci........hold on it's a wee bit difficult....let me go intae the back 'o' the shop.....
Ten minutes Later... Och aye...the Kowelskis...."great admirers/supporters of the Stewart Clan...here...let me show ye the Stewart Tartan...
I'm liking the digital version Cakes!
Peace dudes
You don't have to go all the way to Edinburgh for that! There's a shop right here in St.Louis that specializes in this very thing, it's called thistle and clover.
I did all my own genealogy before going in there. I do have a small replica of the clan crest that my family supposedly would have been a sept of based on the last name...but I kept going and traced my actual roots to the Orkney islands where they were living when it was annexed by Scotland from Norway.
Learning all that made me realize, fuck it dude, we're all just bowlers.
Totally dig the Tartan though, and agree that making a pair of shorts out of them would be awesome.
