Title: movie question
Post by: Rev.Wendy aka The Dude a-Rides on June 08, 2010, 08:35:56 AM
On the answering machine, at the end,
I always thought he said "..takes a minute"
but then rewatching the other day, it sounded like "..thanks, man"

which is it?

I'll tell you what I'm blathering about, the scene where the cops are in the dudes house.  Maude calls.  I hear "takes a minute", but really its about 10 seconds, just checked.

Whiteheart, have to say that you are sporting a righteous middle finger. That finger really ties your post together, mang. Far fucking out.

From the copy of the script I have:

Quote from: TBL Script
DUDE
You find them much? Stolen cars?
Dude's Voice on Machine
The Dude's not in. Leave a message after the beep.
It takes a minute.

YOUNGER COP
Sometimes. I wouldn't hold out much
hope for the tape deck though. Or
the Creedence tapes.

Now that's the same from the three versions of the script I have (they may all be the same source of course, but I wait to be corrected).
