It's not bad.... don't think i could have one more than once a month, though i only drink like 3 drinks a month anyway. So ya..... What was I saying? :D
I had to do an English conversion (whats "half and half" in English currency?), but spent a week drinking pints of the stuff.
Good week that was.

I was thinking of your question, after we first set upon it. Perhaps half and half is the US equivilant simply of semi-skimmed. Half way between skimmed and full-fat? Just a passing thought.
I myself partake in a few asian caucasians (using soya milk, my own brand is sweetened with apple juice slightly) a week. It's a good drink to wind down of an evening between dinner and bed, I'll give it that! My first bog-standard caucasian was shared in Meekon and Klaus the other week, and y'know, I could really taste the cow, man, and it weren't all that bad at all :)
half and half= half milk half cream
Ah-ha! Thanks Rev. Spammy! That first caucasian has indeed limbered your mind up a treat ;D
Yeah, but see what you like. I like it with a little bit of milk, else it gets to sweet for me.

Dairy product
In the United States, half and half is a very light cream typically used in coffee. Its butterfat content is about 12.5%,[2] which makes it low-calorie and more stable in coffee. It is widely available in the United States, both in individual-serving containers and in bulk. It is also used to make ice cream. The same product is known as half cream in the United Kingdom.

A small amount of investigation on the wiki and I found this.
Congrats. The White Russian has been my drink of choice for about as long as I've been drinking. Though I only use 2% milk. By the by, half & half here in Canada is only 10%. If you can find it I'd suggest trying kahlua especial and use a maraschino cherry garnish. Mmmm, makes a heluva caucasian.
I once had a crap job and needed two White Russians each night to restore my will to live. I put on some extra weight from my happy hour habit and had to scale back. I consider it now a sometimes treat instead of tasty self-medication. Man, they are tasty.

Yep, they can do that to ya. That's why I stick with the 2%, or even sometimes 1%. It's not that I'm particularly sensitive about my weight but I'm too cheap to buy new pants.

Sounds good. I usually use Baileys Irish Cream instead of cream, but I cut it with skimmed milk yesterday to make it less fattening. Milkshake weather is almost here, and a White Russian milk shake is awesome. Use vanilla or coffee ice cream and pour in a White Russian, blend and enjoy.
In Holland we have halffull milk, like, with very low percentage of fat. It tastes very good, so I also use it for my white russians. Really tasty and don't need to worry about putting on extra pounds. But then again, my love for oath sodas has that part covered...
Another drink full of milky goodness is a pink polar bear...we discovered it in Goose Bay, Newfoundland. It's a pint of milk vodka and grenadine..........very messy when drunk through straws! 8)
Peace.
Well due to a dairy intolerance I have about 5 white canadians when I get home from work at midnight.
Thats a caucasian made with goats milk (skimmed).
forgive my ignorance - is canada known for its goats? i thought a white canadian would be kahlua with canadian club and maple syrup. ;)
wouldn't this be a goat russian? or a goatcasian?
Hey,I didn't name it.
I just found it when googling cocktails and what have you.
far out. i'm lactose intolerant too. i'll give a white canadian a shot.
check out the article "the white russian revolution" over at the dudespaper
I take my original post back.... I'm really starting to love the White Russian.... Had two the other night! made me a lil tipsy! (I'm a cheap date lol)

As a Canadian I can say that I've never heard of Canada being known for goats. Could be a regional thing, it is a big place. Maybe if it was made with Moose milk... and maple syrup of course.
