I'd like to tell you all a tale of strikes and gutters if you have a minute to read.
The very first time I ever bowled I was a 17 year old kid in a 6 lane bowling alley...didn't have a clue...somewhat like a child who had wandered into a movie...
It came to my time to bowl so I just picked up the first ball that came to hand...it was a heavy assed mofo and the holes were rather wide for my juvenile fingers...I took aim drew my arm back and oh fuck! The thing just slid outa my fingers and dropped like a stone behind me! It clattered onto the floor and drew a helluva lot o attention from the all the "real" bowlers...
I just wanted to run outa there and hide and never come back but clearly one has to carry on....so I picked another ball... smaller and with the holes a better fit for my skinny little fingers.....sorta launched it and yep it was a strike!

That's ok, it happens.
Once during league play, I had a ball where the thumb hole was barely big enough... so, it's my roll, and my thumb sticks in the ball, sending it airborne with a good *pop* sound. It lands heavily in the gutter, ramps off it into the next lane, taking down 5 pins. I got a dirty look from my opponent .

I have a story about gutters and strikes but it's not about bowling, man. It's about a hooker from an alley off Crenshaw.

Well, I was dead in the water. Only 2 strikes, lot's of gutters.
I wish I had a bowling mate. Theres two I could ask, one talks a lot, talk the leg off a donkey. He's an ass to say it plainly.
The other one is a jock, and I dont mean scotland. To him playing basketball is a good competitive sport, he's probably above the sport of 10-pin. He's an ass to say it plainly.
I wonder what happens if you show up at the bowling alley alone... to be continued...

You don't have to have realy a partner there, right? I went bowling with bunch of drunks (including me), and it was great!

Playing golf, in my opinion, man, is also a very dude sport. I myself find sports very heavy, man. I do meditate, drink beer and play metal. I count that as sports.
True story from The Righteous Dude:
Now, I am not a good bowler. Being left handed, and having to rely on house balls, I have to throw the massive 16 pounders. Not good, man, not good.
One game, though, I threw a horrible one. It curved way too much, man. It launched into the gutter right next to the pins.
And bounced off the wall, knocking the 10 pin into the 9.
So, The Righteous Dude got a 2 with a gutter ball.
Now, I just play on the Wii. There's nothing more Dude than bowling with your Special Lady Friend (The Mrs. Righteous Dude), in your underwear.
So, underware bowling... sounds good. I saw some Lady's there, and I was picturing them in their underware :P
actually Paul Merton had a program on UK TV where he went bowling with some German Naturists!
Not a very pretty sight but it holds potential.

Well probably the show was worse. It always amazed me, how that sort of shows attract old, fat, ugly people who, for some reason, like to take their clothes off and make other people sick...

Dude we can't all be super models. In fact it's probably a good thing that people like that exist to remind us that we can be in love with our bodies even if they aren't what the media tries to tell us is the perfect form.

LOL, well I'm fat and ugly to. Anyway, I agree with ya Meekon. And to be honest, the standards the media lay upon us, are way fucked up! Why would I learn to like girls (women) who have the body of a 12 yo boy? No tits, no ass, nothing! And why should I myself wish for a sixpack (and I don't mean the beer), if I'm totally happy with my beer belly! I worked hard for it, that is: abiding and taking 'er easy!
Well I think... I lost my train of thought here... Well, there is nothing left to do than: abide...

Back to subject, then. I'm 28, but I've tried bowling only recently and I have to admit that I like it a lot. Yesterday I got 8 strikes in one game! OK, so some of it was really lucky and three bumped the side band things first (I'm still learning, that was only my second time and I play with not much better people, so fuck it, I'll use them for now), but still I was very happy. Rest of the games were gutters though. That's OK, still lots of fun.
Hey dudes, I recently started seeing a really cool lady who although she doesn't get the whole dudeist thing seems to enjoy my laid back company....anyhoo she said she like to bowl and invited me out for an evening of beer and bowling...of course I told her I was gonna kick her ass...and fair play she went along with it... 8)
She trashed me dudes...she was totally awsome...strike after strike after spare etc....I barely broke a hundred....she didn't break a sweat and got about 160 average over both games!
Then she broke the news that she'd trialled for the England bowling team! Minx! LOL
I am still eating humble pie dudes.
