Louisiana Dude here. With the new SCOTUS ruling, I have a few friends that may want a Dudeist ceremony. Now, according to that link, I need to register with the Clerk of Court. Anyone else from La with experience in this, or any advice?
Depends on the Parish you live in, as an example Google...Lafayette parish clerk of court. there will be a website with phone numbers and what have you.
Thanks, Dude.

I'm having some trouble finding out about New York laws...

So I'm on Long Island. I've learned to hold a ceremony in NYC you gotta go all the way there and file or something. So fine, ya know, I just won't do NYC.

But... Well I contacted my County Clerk about registering or the like, and I got told to check with the town clerk. So I checked with the town clerk, they gave me the phone number for the NYS Board Of Health.

Why the board of health? Well dudes, I just don't know.

Suppose I'll give them a call in a day or so, but thus far neither institutions know anything about me having to be on the books anywhere. I actually found some random new article from 2012 that states that online ministers can't even perform in my county (Suffolk), however my relative a few years ago was married by a Universal Church Of Life pastor in Suffolk and their basically the same as us, no?

If anyone knows anything about New York, please let me know.
