So it would seem that some good things came from covid.
The best being remote jobs. Companies were forced to go to remote work, and it would seem that they found that it works well and saves them costs.
I have worked as an IT consultant for many years and now there are tons of gigs that are 100% remote.
This is fantastic and very Dudely IMO.
I am able to work in my man cave for companies in Boston, Chicago or wherever.
I am now a full time employee of a company in Boston. And making the Boston rate from home.
I'm sure in time that the rates will settle out to somewhere between the big market and small market amout, but right now things are very sweet.

Me too! Since the pandemic, I already started working from home. I can say that its way more nicer and convenient for me. I can work flexible time and aside from that I can also do side gigs like betting on sports. I watch my favorite matches on horse racing like Melbourne Cup while working at home.
