Greetings Dudes ! New here, Priest since May gone by, during my skimming through the vast info here I seen that we have the power preform marriage ceremony's, I have been requested to do so... like 2 hours ago...
Looking through the posts pertaining to this topic I did notice the dates being 2016 and before and them not having an easy time of it.
I'm in Canada, Nova Scotia area. Has there been progress on the ability to perform weddings? I've jetted a note off to our vital statistics bunch, obviously not going to hear from them until next week. I have my cert and letter of good standing as well as ID card.
Any advice out there? More so about dealing with the machine of government, I got no issue with doing a wedding.  :)

Thanks

I haven't lived in Nova Scotia in a long time, so I haven't kept up with the laws. I don't have any advice, since I'm sure you've already thought about calling someone in Halifax.  ;D But if you find out anything, we'll be interested in seeing what you got.

Will certainly pass it along. :-)

Not looking good at the moment. Nova Scotia powers that be, say they won't recognize an online religion. :-( Need to have a structure to be held in, with a certain number of followers so they can get their taxes out of you.  :P
Think I'm stuck on this one... unless there is a building somewhere that's a Dudeist site, although I think it needs to be in NS for them to go for it.
