I'm an ordained dudeist priest and I'm looking to marry a couple legally.

Thoughts , ideas, advice?

I've done it.  The big thing is to check with the city/town that you're officiating in.  Call the town clerk and let them know that you've recently become ordained and are planning on performing a wedding ceremony and ask them if you need to come down and register or fill out any paperwork.  Make sure you have all of your ordination paperwork with you.  I generally carry copies with me and only bring the originals if they're required.  I know that here in NY I had to get an additional letter from the Dudely Lama to perform a wedding, but it all went quite smoothly.   I officiated the wedding, had the bride, groom, and 2 witnesses sign the marriage certificate, then went down to the town hall the following day and signed the marriage license myself and filed it with the town clerk.  Done.  All official like.  Easy day.  As far as ceremonially goes, there are lots of good ideas that others have already laid out on this a here forum.  I took a few of them and made some tweaks here and there, incorporated some of my own ideas and it turned out great.  I received a lot of compliments, even from the square community about how well it went.  Good luck.
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber

I've dabbled in exorcisms.
Casting out the odd demon but nothing as serious as a marriage.
I'd hate to be responsible for that sort of thing.
I've seen that look.
The 1000 yard stare.
I hesitate to send any young man off to such a fate.

Out here we are all his children
