Random movie thought experiment here - how many 'implied scenes' (for lack of a better made up term) are there in the Big Lebowski? Implied meaning, scenes that obviously had to happen but were not written out or filmed - such as, Walter and the Dude going to Ralphs to get a Folgers coffee can and then returning to get Donny's ashes or the Dude throwing out his old piss stained rug/laying out his new rug in his crib (prior to getting socked in the jaw and having it taken by Maude's goons) etc... Think it might be interesting to see how many like this we can think of...

Well there would be many.
In essence every change of location implies that the character or characters move from point a to point b.
The first would be from the place in the market where the dude gets his half and half to the register.
Then from the market to his home.
Etc etc etc...
Those would be the most obvious.
Then you also have more vague things like the fact that we learn that Jackie "had to eject" the Dude from his garden party.
We don't actually see that.

We have to imply that Walter & The Dude saw (or at least heard about) Donny surfing. It's one of those lines that at first seem out of place, but in retrospect, tells you more about the threesome's past.
We are all connected. To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. The the rest of the universe atomically.
