I don't know what to make of the fact that so many of the people I admire in this world have chosen to leave it voluntarily.

What a voice to have silenced.

It looks to me like common thread is the use of anti depressant medication.
Apparently he had taken Ambien and told his wife on the phone that he may have taken too many.
These medications list suicide as a side effect.
I mean put your head around that.
The medications prescribed to treat depression may cause suicidal thoughts.
Now I'm no physician but doesn't this border on the absurd?

Yep. We consume copious quantities of recently developed research chemicals to deal with stresses caused by the incongruity between the modern world and how we've evolved. Because, you know, our leaders deemed it prudent to ban natural substances which have been used for hundreds, sometimes thousands, of years with little to no significant, long-term side effects. If I didn't know better, I'd say we hate ourselves.
