Just reading through the book and have a few questions that I hope people can help to answer...is dudeism a passive philosophy and how does it work in the real world (having to work, bills, worrying about the environment and dealing with people in general...

My personal take has always been that it's "passive" without being "pacifist". Sure, you gotta feed the monkey, but just chill, handle it, get it over with, and go back to abidin".
