So, I can imagine that most of us here are pretty fed up with all the political garbage that we've been seeing on social media (and here too, frustratingly enough). I hope it's a fair assumption to make that most people come here on to this site to escape from the toxicity of day to day life. Some place to have a few burgers, a few beers, and a few laughs.

I know I'm fairly new here so I might not have much clout, but I kind of want to make an effort to clear out some of the poison that's seeped into our quiet little beach community. We're all guilty of this, letting the nihilism of others (and this fucking election) seep into our lives and ruin our days (you should have seen me on the 8th, sheesh).

As some of you may know, Leonard Cohen passed away a day before the election, and I wanted to share a quote of his with you dudes:

"There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in."

Nothing is fucked, can't be worried about that shit, life goes on man.

Beautiful and very true line from Leonard. All human beings are flawed, we all have cracks.  Nothing we make is perfect - we don't have that capacity. Letting the light into any situation is vital and we should bask in the light and celebrate the things that are good.  You can't have light without darkness, they co-exist in this material world.
