Sounds logical dude, but if you pull on that thread, would the site need filing with threads put neatly into appropriate sections? It's not my job, though does it need an overhaul?

Hello again, administrators.

The "welcome" etc. thread is becoming unwieldy.  For threads that have de facto become their own section, it is more appropriate from a community management perspective to disable the thread and create a new forum section for that topic.  I suggest that we create a new section just for introductions.  This way, members can more easily track who they have welcomed, and new members can have a proper introductory conversation with the forumites that is not cut short or made confusing by other introductions and overlapping conversations.  This section should be placed in the General category so that new members can easily find it.

I really like the idea of having a whole section for intros. Actually I thought it was odd that this forum didn't have a section like that.
