So this isn't an eastern thing but I thought this had huge implications for philosophy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfYbgdo8e-8

My take on this information is to ponder, what if the right brain is our natural state of abiding?  The right brain as the video says eventually gets muted and silently abides the dumbass left side of the brain.  Our left brain wants to justify and make sense of everything even if it's got no real connection to vietnam man, our right brain is comfortable with the unknown.  Our left brain talks a great talk and analyzes everything consciously, our right brain feels things out without analysis but doesn't speak, it doesn't act unless it absolutely needs to, and it literally abides whatever left brain says or does because fuck it... can't be worried about that shit.

From the dudeist perspective I'd theorize that inside all of us we have two halves, half dude (right) and half walter (left).  We need both for survival in our society but I wonder if the right brain is what spiritualists would call our "true self" or what psychologists would call the "inner child" since before speech children seem to still have a good sense of how to use each side equally (at least that's the impression I get from watching my own little lebowski live his life as he's just barely talking on his own).  Like there's this entire consciousness that we actively sensor as we go through our lives when really to be happy, we need to learn to make sure it is activated and listened to.

Found this whole thing to be really far out so I figured you dudes might dig it too and have more to say on it.

I found that video fascinating---I guess at least half of whatever the fuck I think of as me did anyway

I sorta think of the right brain as poor Donny, constantly getting told to shut the fuck up by loudmouth left brain Walter.

Then perhaps the Dude is the connecting tissue that you know, ties the room together.
