I was born and raised a Catholic - and I'm not a great one - but I'm about to turn 55 next month, and so I'm seeking peace and happiness for however long I'll be walking this Earth. I won't judge anyone, and would rather not be judged. Love to all. Peace out.

I was raised as a Catholic but I always felt that Catholicism is kinda... flamboyant, to borrow from Oscar Wilde. Many ceremonies, many rules, many saints. I have learned a bit about Quakers/Friends and it made things clearer and I have learned a bit about Buddhism which made things even simpler. I have read the Bible and Jesus was not as complicated as His followers are. So now I am collecting any wisdom I can from any kind of religion, and when I think about it, it is all basically the same. Not fond of any kind of apostasy though - looks like a painful and unnecessary thing, so technically I am still a Catholic - with many add-ons, I would say. As for Christians being intolerant - well, there are those who are very conservative and afraid of anything that is not clearly their faith - so they call it simply satanism. And there are some of them who listen, watch and do what their common sense tells them to do, even if it is not according to the rules.
