As a proud American with both a military and fig-eating background I feel the need to comment on the many camel fucker threads. I would simply like to point out that there is a difference between an Arab (many whom are Christian and Jewish); a Muslim, many of whom are pretty cool Sufi dudes; and a hypocritical and oppressive third-world type who uses his natural resources to buy the trappings of modern civilization without subscribing to any of its founding principles. The latter are indeed camel fuckers. It is a sad fact that many in the Arab world do indeed treat their camels better than their wives. Having said that, I sincerely believe that it is the "Bablyon System" pointed out by the Rastafari faith that lies at the heart of western spiritual corruption. The following are some chronological examples. I believe that the Jewish message of dudely abiding laid out in the ten commandments and Noahide laws were corrupted by the Babylonian Talmud. The Dudeist Christian message of neighborly love was corrupted in to a neo-Babylonian mystery cult. And finally, Islam was was corrupted by the violent, sexually perverse, and intolerant teachings of the hadith and sunnah. The hadith and sunnah are the alleged sayings and traditions of the prophet Muhammed that were written by the Baghdad-based, Babylonian Abbasid dynasty rulers as means of instituting totlitarianism several centuries after the prophet's death. Rastafari is the fourth great western religion whose insights should not be ignored. It is in this spirit of truth that I offer an olive branch of Thai stick to my fellow military and America loving dudes like Digitalbuddha. Hell, look at me, I'm rambling again- see ya on down the road dudes.

Y'see the guys that built our railroads are now our chief economic and military rivals, just as the camel fuckers that once gave us chemistry and algebra are now up to some pretty uncool shit in their parts of the world. My post was a plea for us to not let ourselves get uptight in our pointing out the undudely qualities of others. Just as Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have been corrupted by what Bob Marley would call isms and schisms- so too is dudeism (and all human ideas) capable of becoming just another outward form exclusion and mass control while losing its inner spiritual value. Just look at the history of the Rastafari dudes. The whole dogmatic structure and reverse racism thing was built in decades after Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie by a guy called Leonard Howell.

I don't know. Usually this happens when things get complicated, usually on purpose. If you have a few laws almost everyone knows them and can behave "right". If there are thousands (in Italy usually we have at least one a day, not always deleting the older ones  ) then if someone wants you are always wrong. I use as an example Italy because everyone in every moment is breaking a law, so when needed everyone can always be found guilty. And this mean that someone has always power over you. Inquisition school: if you drown when throw to water bonded then you die, if you don't drown then you are a son of satan and get killed anyway.

The inner core of Dudeism is its simplicity, we have just three commandments and a general rule that if you don't infringe the rights of others you can do as you wish.
Splitting hairs usually takes there, even Taoism has become quite complicated, but as Bruce Lee said "you must take away, not add".
Might be also that if something is complicated there is the need to have someone to teach and direct you on the "right" road?

We are quite safe, but as humans we must keep a close watch on remaining simple and easy.
