Hey folks,

I'm renewing my UK passport and as an ordained member of of the Church of the Latter Day Dude sincerely want my status officially recognised. I have the option to choose my own title, e.g. reverend, but they ask me to send "evidence" of this.

Anyone got experience of getting the square community to recognise this kind of stuff?

Thank ye kindly in advance and taker her easy guys.

I can dig it, man.

But as a practical point you might consider keeping your passport relatively "clean" of curious, unusual, or extraneous references. Probably depends on where you'll travel. A lot of things don't translate well or mean other things in other places. I sweat  every time I go through customs or immigration or whatever now. I don't want some third-world Barney Fife giving the once-over or the rough-and-tumble because he doesn't like my passport.

BikerDude

Yeah man.
You wouldn't want to end up in a grainy video on youtube wearing an orange jumpsuit with some zealot sawing your head off as a religious statement.
Modesty is the most Dudely of virtues.

I suppose evidence would be the letter of good standing from the website.

Did you have any success dude? I recently sent my renewal off with my Letter of Good Standing stating my title as Reverend but haven't heard back from those fucks down at the passport office yet.
