Love the pic, Al!

I have never done this with a movie still in theaters before, but Star Wars was so good, it warranted it.  I went to see the movie, and came back to watch it again the very next day.  I have to pick and choose what I spend money on right now, and it was worth missing some meals out at restaurants (and I'm big on dining out, even if it's cheap).

No spoilers, but some things I thought were plot holes on the first viewing, were no longer holes after the second viewing.  The movie is BIG and difficult to wrap your head around completely the first time you watch it.  Plus I was still wading through all that hype.  I loved it, and although I might not have any more theater viewings, I plan to see it again many, many times and seek to own it on blu-ray.

Saw it Saturday, great flick.

Thankee.  I stole the idea from a meme posted on Farcebook and recreated it using cleaner images, so the real credit goes to whoever made that first one.

I recently read that The Force Awakens will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 5th, so we don't have too long to wait.

Just returned from watching it the first time. Phenomenal. Listen to the first line of dialogue in the movie - it's quite telling.

Oh, if you're wondering, don't bother with the IMAX thing. One cool scene shot in the format. Wasn't worth it. Regular 2-D would be fine.

No doubt they're working on the next episode already.

I know they filmed some scenes for it while they were filming The Force Awakens, but I don't know if filming has officially begun yet.  I do know they were working on the stories and scripts for both the episodic and stand-alone movies for quite some time before the big "We own Star Wars" announcement was made, so it won't surprise me if they're able to stay ahead of the game.

Watched it a few nights ago with my special lady...  Extremely well done.  It inspired me to binge watch EVERY other SW pic, in proper sequence.

Makes you wonder if Rey is an offspring of... well, you know...

There's a flashback sequence, very brief, that I think strongly implies you're on the right track.

So far, Disney hasn't been able to fuck it up, hopefully they won't. Look what the asshats did to Pearl Harbor; turned what was otherwise a great movie into a boring bullshit love triangle. Over the line!!

Both Pearl Harbor and James Cameron's Titanic had me shaking my head.  Thousands of people died in each event, but that's not dramatic enough for you?  You had to throw in a bullshit love story???  I know they did it just to get more women to buy tickets, and to subsequently buy the DVDs/Blu-Rays, but it makes those movies difficult to watch.

By the way, according to StarWars.com The Force Awakens is now the highest-grossing movie of all time in the U.S..  8)

I'll be the odd man out here, and state that I don't mind the love stories mixed in with the tragic story lines.  I'm not a documentary whore.  I like being entertained and educated at the same time, which is the purpose of these movies.  After watching such films, I go "...huh - never knew that", then do shit load of research to see what WAS factual, and what wasn't.

Not so much the case with Star Wars.  ;-)
