It's real.

  • We oppose supernatural claims. We are skeptics and atheists. In our religion, we doubt religion.
  • We fight discrimination. Atheists are not inferior and should not be hated and marginalized.
  • We raise money for charity and are striving to be the most generous church in the world.
  • Our officiants perform legal weddings, always for free. How joyful!
  • We expose religious privileges as silly by claiming the same rights for Bacon.
  • Praise Bacon If you prefer to praise Vegetarian Bacon or Turkey Bacon that is fine!

And these guys are walking the walk.
They are working with Penn Jillette to create THE NEVATICAN. The largest skeptic and atheist community
center in the world.

Very interesting. I could totally dig their style, and the work they do as far as strengthening the rights of online ordained ministers could help us Dudes out. I only recently found out New York has some really vague rules as far marriage officiating. My own clerks office knows of no rules of registering, so as I'm to understand I can officiate anywhere in the state except for the City which has it's own bullshit rules...

...But theres also a legal loophole on the books that marriages performed by Online Ministers are not technically valid, stemming from some divorce case in the 80s. A legal precedent... but then again, my own Sister was married by a Universal Life Church Priest. So Dudes, I just don't know.

If they stay active and whatnot, sounds like a huge win for everyone that isn't part of the mainstream religion.
