Dude Wedding Ceremony

Here is a Dudeist wedding ceremony I wrote for a friend of mine.

Greeting
Friends and Family, we are gathered and abide here today to bear witness to the union of the hearts and souls of________ and ________, or... in the parlance of our times, we are here to watch these Dudes get hitched!

Declaration Of Intent
Now, before I lose my train of thought. _______, _______, you stand before me having requested that, in the beautiful traditions of Dudes throughout history, I marry you today without compulsion but with joy and love.

Do you both do this abidingly and without being all uptight?

Prayer
I will now lead you dudes in a prayer of sorts. As I do this, I ask that everyone close their eyes and, in accordance with your own beliefs, wish strength, joy, peace, and undying love upon this union.

Marriage is a joyful yet difficult journey, and the success of a marriage is as dependent on mutual support as much as it is upon Love.
