It sucks that he croaked.
Although I have to admit that his final irony is very appropriate for a comedian.

On Saturday, September 25, 2010, Giraldo overdosed on prescription medication. Earlier that afternoon, he had been scheduled to appear at a concert at the 3rd Annual New York Recovery Rally, which was being held in New York City "to celebrate the reality of recovery from addiction and offer hope to those who have yet to find recovery." The concert was held between noon and 3 p.m., but Giraldo never showed up.

He was one of the best "new" comedians.
