Seriously. As if you west-coast schmucks don't already have, like, 3/4 of the nation's best beer anyway (see, e.g., Stone, Lagunitas, Greenflash, et al). You have to go and rub it in with a damn modestly priced uber beer fest.

I hope you break off and fall into the Pacific. (Okay, that was harsh. Sorry. But I do hope your better breweries expand into the mid-west...or fall into the Pacific).

Nah, it's all smoke and mirrors.   ;-)  The east of both America and Canada have their fair share of craft breweries...  Ottawa alone has a dozen or more.  Come visit us!

We have some great stuff in the east.
And other parts.
I can buy SierraNevada at the market.
I like the Pale Ale.

And there are always "Beer Cruises"

This is all true, dudes. However, the draft beer you get fresh at a craft brewery, even the larger ones, is waaaaaay better than a six-pack of the same stuff that's sat on a pallet and then a shelf for a combined five months. Beer is a living thing. It is best appreciated in its home.

Indiana is, mercifully, coming around on the microbrewery concept. I would guess the Indianapolis area has seen maybe 30 new breweries in the last five years. Oh, and we finally have Dogfish Head back in the state! It was gone for like two years because its owner got into a piss-fight with the state's exclusive distributor. Not sure what it was about but I'd guess the distributor was at fault. Asshats like that, who get protectionist laws passed in their favor, tend to be fucking fascists.

Oh and Sierra Nevada's Ruthless Rye-PA is supertastic. It prompted me to brew a Rye IPA of my own. Yeah, theirs is better. Don't judge me!

I wish I could get the rye.
I've had the IPA and the Torpedo and the Fireside. All very great.
So far they don't carry the rye in stores here.
