Reporter quits live on the air saying "Fuck it I quit".
She quit to devote her time to her Marijuana dispensary business and the cause of legalization.
A worthy fucking effort in my estimation.

I hope she doesn't need to go job hunting in media again anytime in the near future. Because she made a sound with her mouth that sounded like the word "fuck" and a great many people who's parents failed miserably in the process of raising them to be adults in a mean world are offended by that sound. And some of those people own or work in media outlets. And they won't forget that she made a sound with her mouth that sounded like the word "fuck" while on the air. Because it's an obscenity.

Oh please, lots of media would hire her. Just not news stations. She'd be great on TMZ.

LotsaBadKarma

You're probably right about TMZ, however, my comment was more in regard to the ease with which some people get their panties into a twist over the word FUCK. Because their parents failed miserably. In the process of raising them to be adults. In a mean world.
Fucked up punctuation was intentional although I have no idea why. But it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Respect to her for not been afraid to quit like that. If you're really not happy with your job it's pointless wasting your life away doing it.

Masked Dude

My father was NY Irish, so every other word was a 4-letter colorful word. My mother is Nova Scotian & Acadian, so from her I learned to swear in 2 languages.

So hearing "fuck" on television is absofuckinlutely nothing.

It's just like, my opinion, but I think we have a sizable percentage of the population who think nothing of watching drone strikes pulverize wedding parties in faraway lands but to accidentally get a look at Janet Jackson's nipple at halftime of the Super Bowl or hear someone say "fuck" on the air sends waves of terror through their obscenity detectors.
I guess I just have a hard time determining what the definition of obscenity is.

You're preaching to the choir here with me.  The U.S. is allegedly the most "progressive" and/or "advanced" country in the world, but in a lot of ways it's really archaic and we generally have our priorities screwed up.

Now, language.  I understand why some people take offense to certain words, but I don't have a problem with "foul" or "obscene" language.  I'm well-versed in it myself, but I personally believe in reserving it for what I consider to be the proper time and place.  What I mean by that is this:  If you walk around "dropping the f-bomb" all day long, the word "fuck" loses it's impact because the people around you get used to hearing it and it almost becomes white noise--they just learn to tune it out after a while.  But if you save it for just the right moments and use it judiciously you can definitely get more peoples' attention while trying to make your point, just as former reporter Charlo Greene did in the clip in the link Biker Dude posted.  Of course, that's just, like, my opinion, man.

And some people here in the U.S. lose their minds over the subject of nudity.  I've never understood that.  It's the human body, people, grow up!  Your example of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" during the Super Bowl halftime show (which was not accidental, by the way), for example.  Who complained about that?  Uptight adults.  Why?  Because their children might have seen a woman's breast for a fraction of a second.  The question is, why is that a "bad" thing?  Children don't care about nudity; it's only after they've been corrupted by their parents' opinions about nudity that they begin to believe it's somehow "wrong".  So any children who saw Janet's breast and reacted negatively only did so because they were echoing their parents' reaction--a learned behavior.  If the parents wouldn't have reacted to it, the children wouldn't have reacted to it.  And I defy anyone to show me one child who was damaged mentally, emotionally, or psychologically by the sight of a woman's breast without having been influenced by their parents.

Anyway...uhhh...what were we talking about?  ???
