I found this while roaming the internet it kind of just fit right in there for me. Supposed to be a taoism quote not sure how accurate that is it's the internet but I felt worth sharing.

" Would you like to save the world from the degradation and destruction it seems destined for? Then step away from shallow mass movements and quietly go to work on your own self-awareness. If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation."

Makes sense to me the world is to big a thing for one person to change. But focus on yourself look to heal and fix yourself and see how that affects the others around you. Like the stone in the pond causing ripples. Or maybe I have partaken one to many White Russians lol as always take what you will from it just like my opinion.

Keep on abiding

The Daryl

That's an awesome quote. Thanks for sharing it!

It's all the more humbling that the sentiment is "old" and yet completely and totally relevant today. (And strange that it's only half the paragraph, that actually was instructing the reader to find a "master"... which doesn't matter so much).

Abide.
Synonyms: observe, act in accordance with, accept, respect, endure, tolerate, bear, continue, remain, persist, stay
Archaic: Live
***
...He who takes things lightly, abides all things.
The Dude does not confront difficulty, and so has none.

Masked Dude

It makes sense. If I changed and became the best Mask I could be, I'm but one. It's like, I'd be one drop but if all of us changed we'd be an ocean.

One drop can't do much but a river can carve the Grand Canyon.
* Carpe diem all over the damn place *
Abide like the Dude when you can
Yell like Walter when you must
Be like Donny when you are

The thought also has the benefit of concentrating on the only thing within your immediate control - your own development. I like it.
