Living the Dude life isnt hard. After all, even The Dude lost his cool and could become reactionary from time to time when provoked just the right way. And he never was un-Dude for long, i remember that and i take comfort in it. the Dude abides.
you know what i KNOW FOR A FACT would make MY life even better? if i had some DUDE friends, in REAL time, or at least on the phone man and not a world away.
it's NOT easy to be the only Dudeist i know, although i have people pull up to my car after seeing my bumpertickers, and yell 'the dude abides' at me, which cheers me GREATLY.
anyhoo, im just ramblin' on here but i'd love to KNOW some dudes to TALK to, im not on the internet much these days, i find the wonder of life is to be seen more often than not out of doors and in the public square.
so this aint a classified ad, im not looking to hook up with another dude in that 'special lady friend' way, but i'd love to have some one on one dude influence in my life. wouldnt that be awesome? mang?

I agree!  As someone who is new to the Dude way of life it would help to have some Dudes near me to hang out with and have a chat in person.  Which is a bit odd for me to say because I tend to be a little, not anti-social exactly, but we'll just say I tend to shy away from gatherings.  I am glad to have the opportunity to post here and read the insight and thoughts of others in the Dude community!  However, when you converse in person, you never know where the conversation will go and it is a much different experience.  I also don't like posting too much personal stuff on the internet these days.  I may share more of myself later, but it would be easier to talk to a few dudes and not what feels like the whole internet on a forum.  Am I right?

I think you should feel right at home here. my very first impression I feel you just may be another introvert like myself...and like The Dude himself.
We did this a while back.... http://dudeism.com/smf/the-dude's-personality-profile/results-as-we-stand-now/

I took the personality profile test...don't know anymore....a dozen of so years ago. It helped me chill a lot to finally understand my own mind and why I felt the way I felt.
I scored INFJ the first time I took the 72 question test...scored the same with the 120 question test 5 years later.
As you can see, we figure The Dude in INFP. 8)

Very interesting and insightful!  Thanks for posting, man.   Here is what I got:

INFP
Introvert(56%)  iNtuitive(12%)  Feeling(50%)  Perceiving(11%)

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)
You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (50%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (11%)

Certainly not a shocker.   Especially after reading through that thread but interesting nevertheless!
