I don't know whether I learned this per se from Big L, but once I make a decision and go forward, I do not regret, I do not think back. What's done is done. You gotta make choices and decisions. Decide, then go.

I have to agree. Regret nothing, no matter how badly it turned out, all my past actions add up to the person I am now, and inform my next mistake decision to move forward.

Zen Dog

Some days you're up.some days you're down.Why worry, it don't mean nothing.
You have to count your blessings. I kinda regret choosing the former Mrs Zen Dog over the Navy, leaving before I'd had a chance to go anywhere but if I hadn't left when I did,I wouldn't be driving trains.By now,I'd have been obliged to have taken propper employment and, Heaven forbid, actually have to work for a living. Please excuse the language.By the way,I was throwing rocks last night. 3 strikes in a row.Count your blessings and take it easy.
If you believe you can tell me what to think.
I believe I can tell you where to go.

CyberDude

I learned that I am OK the way I am, and nothing is wrong with me because of the way I am.

I never had the appetite for competition, acquisition of wealth or the need to do much. Just exist and enjoy what I do have. So many people in this world would tell me that's wrong!! Money and wealth is all that matters.

But this movie (and Jeff Bridges himself by the way)
inspired me to not worry about such things and just accept who I am. TAKE IT EASY!!

Thank you The Big Lebowski!!
One who is a Dude must before all things keep constantly in mind...the fact that he has to take it easy.

Abideist

I learned that there are other people besides me who can just say "fuck it".
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

WillotheDude

The thing I learned most from this film was that no matter where life takes me - strikes and gutters, ups and downs - if I ultimately stay true to myself and not give a fuck about what anyone else thinks of me I will be happy no matter what and so I abide.

I'll tell you what I'm blathering about ... right after I finish my White Russian...

Peepo

I learned that it's like, er, you know, it's like Lenin said....

I learned that I keep learnin' somethin' new every time I watch that durned movie...

Dudenheimer

I learned that when I say "I'll be there man"..... I WILL be there.
That even when I am being threatened by Nihilists, Big Shot Pornographer thugs, and my car is worn to hell and back....
I will be at practice. :-D
"Uh, its down there somewhere, let me take another look"
