Rev. Jimmy

This was my first year actually celebrating this holiday. So, my special lady and I had both been working a lot lately and barely had time for a date night. So, on March 6, she happened to have the day off and I cashed in a sick day.
We started the day with coffee in bed and she played some of the Jeff Bridges Sleep Tapes. It definitely got my mind limber for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, we mixed up some white Russians before dinner. After dinner, we went bowling.
Later, we went for a drive while listening to a Lebowski playlist. We browsed around the mall and then drank some oat sodas at a strip club. (Guess I have a little Jackie Treehorn in me.)
Oh, and I almost forgot ... I got my ordination as a minister of Dudeism on this day as well.

How did you celebrate Day of the Dude 2015?

Blessings, all.

Is it a, uh, what day is this?

I completely forgot about the movie being released on March 6th. Turned out moderately dudely, though. Took off work a little early. Ordered a pizza on the way home so it would arrive when I did. Got a semi-nasty look from the delivery guy since my sidewalk wasn't shoveled. Told him it was generally advisable to be shitty AFTER you get your tip. Then tipped him $4 to buy back a little karma.

The wife was at something with/about/for her family so the dogs and I had the run of the place. Had some home-brewed oat sodas from my corny kegs (cucumber kolsch and 60-Min IPA clone, if you're curious). Watched a couple old Law & Order re-runs then took a bath and read part of a book on Venetian maritime history. Started a little Civ V but couldn't get into it - played Spain but couldn't find any wonders for the life of me. Anyway, it was decompression time sorely needed.

First post, and I've been part of this forum since last year. My slacking skills are on target, I guess.

Ironically, I watched The Big Lebowski on 3/6 not even realizing that was the anniversary of the movie's release. It was just a choice and I hadn't watched it in a while. I had a new appreciation for it since I was watching it sober. Heh.
