Also,  in 1 Samuel, David brought King Saul a bag full of Philistine foreskins; more than a hundred Philistine foreskins were in David's bag.

My point is, that even in that instance, the cutting off of another man's johnson (even a Philistine johnson) was considered most undude. The foreskins were one thing, but the johnson was off-limits.  Dig me?

My point is...that cutting off another man's johnson is never cool, regardless of social/historical context.

It's like watching I Love Lucy, Sleevez: if you don't like it, then don't view it.  Up to you.

Actually no it's not, and you're doing it again.

We are not anti-christian but all you're doing here is saying a man who has had his johnson removed can't enter the jewish temple.

And shagbeard I'm a Dudeist Pagan I have more gods than most of you have all put together. We are not anti god or anti christian it's just we are not christians. This is not a branch of christianity.

I agree with Sleevez this doesn't make sense because it's coming from the wrong direction.

Again this doesn't make sense because all you are doing is taking odd moments from the film and linking them to other sources.

The point of the film for dudeists is the example of the Dude.

Again I repeat the film is not a holy text. Not the same way the bible, the torah, or the koran, tells people how to live.

Again I find myself repeating you are confusing the finger that points to the moon with the moon itself.

The nihilists threatening to remove the Dudes johnson is not a holy statement it's just a situation where you should be learning from the Dude's reaction and seeing if that's similar to your own point of view. It's not about the removal of the Dudes johnson.

There are plenty of Dudeist Christians on the forum who are not pushing the line or text of their belief.

This brings up an idea from my beer soaked limber mind; Dudeist Degrees. Something such as a "DDP." "Doctor of Dudeist Philosophy" or "DDR" "Doctor of Dudeist Religion" "DTE" "Doctor of Takin' Er Easy" (...this, after 2 beers; who knows what beer 3 or 4 will come up with).

Thoughts, dudes?

Oh, so now we are introducing hierarchies, a sort of Dudeist clergy/laity system.  What do you want this to turn into, a Dudeist cult?  F**k all that, I say.

Shall we address you as the "Dudifex Maximus" now, meekon5?    ;D

No hierarchies, degrees aren't hierarchies. I was talking about recognition for valuable contributions to Dudeist thought.

And I think that you are trying to introduce just another form of some clergy/laity system, so that you can be a reactionary know-it-all, and feel justified in it.  I thought that were all equals here, man.  Or are some Dudeists more equal than others (to borrow from Animal Farm)?

Or instead of a clergy/laity thing, maybe (by suggesting degrees) that we turn this into a kind of Department of Dudeist Studies, with Ollie as the Department Chair and you in the role of one of the pompous professors, with all of the rest of us n the role of your brown-nosing students?  Is that more along the lines of what you were thinking, meekon5?  I say f**k that, too.

You are simply trying to turn this into more of a club, or a clique, and I am allergic to groupthink in all forms and in all contexts, man.

Since when is a degree necessarily a "clergy/laity system?" Is everyone with a B.A, M.A, PhD, a clergy in a "clergy/laity system?"

Besides, we all ready have Dudeist clergy... "The Dudely Lama," and "The Arch Dude of York."

Why not degrees?

You are simply trying to turn this into more of a club, or a clique, or perhaps even an out-and-out cult, and I am allergic to groupthink in all forms and in all contexts, man.  Non-conformist groups often just turn into vectors of control for people who take the groups by with they identify waaaay to seriously.  And besides, my proper title is "Swami".  So that's what you call me.

I could go quote the other place that has the broad context it is bad and forbidden to cut off johnsons and what have you but that is not even what I desire to do. I am only saying this because it is very big thing in this forum to harp on this one topic in nasty tone and mock.

As for what would the Dude respond like to things like this, well i clearly see it much different. I just can not abide where I feel like I am hated, neither did the Dude. Fuck it!

None of you can deny that the first thing that is said is that it is some agenda to tear you down or disturb your beech community. Whatever! I been trying to abide but that is not going to happen when this is going on.

Wow, exactly. It just, is like amazing shit right there. However, as I had been trying to do just that Topics and posts come up that are totally against it. Again I been trying but just can not abide when it is all over this forum. None can deny that.

I dig this idea. I don't see how having a degree makes your standing any higher or lower it's a recognition of your contribution to the philosophy. As a side could you define " groupthink" to me I'm not sure what you mean there.

I call it "the group mind;" that is to say, various thinking on a matter by dudes together coming up with an idea higher or better than a single dude would come up with perhaps. A synergy of minds.
