I'd say the same thing to you Icon. Why are you hating on Brits? Americans are not the only ones' who can fully understand the film. You don't even have to see the film to be a Dudeist. It's not about nationalities or other religions or movie references or anything. Just about the message.

I would recommend that you guys stop talking to each other. You guys are just teasing each other because of where you're from and how you worship. Very undude. It's kind of silly and I wish you'd at least take it somewhere else.

I'm not hatin' on Brits, BrotherShamus.  All I am saying is that IMO, one cannot fully and truly "get" The Big Lebowski unless one is thoroughly familiarized with my country and our popular culture.  If you've never even set foot in the States, then you really do not quite "get it" the way a native-born American would.  And if you cannot admit otherwise, then you're just a poser in my book.

Funny, this reminds me of a saying in Texas. "You can visit all you want but unless you been baptised in Texas water you're not a native"

I mean I'm sensing a pattern with you man. You seem very stubborn with your beliefs, and when some one disagrees with you they're a "poser". It would behoove you to consider that there's more to it than what you perceive as truth. You might be incorrect about some things sometimes. the most powerful thing you can say is "I don't know".

You might also want to consider this saying I've paraphrased just for you: If you see a poser in the morning, you've seen a poser. If you see posers all day, maybe you're the poser.

Dudes, I am NOT a fundamentalist Bible-banger.  I don't even go to church very often, and am not very "religious".   I am a Protestant in my theological orientation, I believe that abortion and marijuana should be legal, and that gay people ought to have the right to marry.  Christian does not equal "televangelist-loving, Bible-banging bigot" and if someone thinks that it does, then obviously that person does not know much about Christianity.  Sheez.
