Like many a recently ordained dudeist priest, I have benignly visited my juju on the heads of fellow vagrants, brats, and bar patrons - assuming the time and place were right, of course. People are uniformly interested and curious. However, they can't hurdle the schoolboy/girl giggles barring them from the spiritual and philosophical truths that warsh over all of us. I like to think it's not my own sick Cynthia thing: though new to the cloth, I'm competent to discuss a couple of the Eastern worldviews underlying dudeism and much of the symbolism in The Big Lebowski. And I pay for my share of moderately priced adult beverages.

I can abide all this. Proselytism isn't like my primary thing. This was the wrong group to join if I wanted to bicycle around town in a dark suit and shitty hat bothering people on their days off. Shit, I don't even own a bike. But I'm wondering if you, my heathen brethren, have experienced and/or overcome similar bush league psych-out stuff. Thanks for listening...well, reading...fine, you just skimmed it...that's cool, I'm very busy as I can assume you are.

You're telling people that you're part of a religion based on a failed Hollywood movie from the late 90s. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but you're sort of hobbled right out of the gate.

But yeah, it either works or it doesn't, and some might be more receptive than others. See the later stages of inverted narcissism.

Dudeism is all about letting the pins fall as they will. You can't force it you can tell people but they won't come till they are ready. As a dudest priest and this is just like my opinion man you don't lead anyone you just exist . If anyone wants to come along for the burgers, beers and few laughs they will make that choice on their own. There isn't one rug that ties everyone's room together different rugs for different people. It's all about finding the rug that ties your room together everyone else has to find their own rug. I think it is some kind of eastern philosophy.
