...for me to enjoy participating in these here forums.  A certain shit disturber who should have been punted long ago still thrives because admins won't take a stand.  After the last blow-up about a year or so ago, I saw a huge reduction in participants.  This new fucker dominates most threads with drivel that incites reactions from Dudeism vets that have a right to react they way they do.  The fact that this new manipulative shit disturber gets away with it bothers me.  New lurkers look at this shit and go - "Why the fuck would I want to join THIS???"

But you would agree that it would be un-dude of us to not try to give the individual the benefit of the doubt and at least let them have the opportunity to fit in wouldn't you?

Some of my original post where shite.

That is why I did not punt him in the first place.
I was hoping he might learn to be more dude if we let him stay. It doesn't look like that is going to happen.
It just may be time to kick his ass out of our nice quiet beach community.
I tell you if I get one more report from him about another poster I will punt him off myself.
I'm tired of baby sitting children who do not know how to behave on a forum.
Just like my opinion dudes.

I know this is going to be taking the long way around, but, I hate the TV show "I Love Lucy". I won't go into the reasons for this because it would make the trip even longer. My point is that when I'm looking at the TV and that show (or any other show that makes my very soul squirm in discomfort) comes on I have the option of being held captive by it or looking around for the open cell door and then walking through it to freedom. What I mean is that I can change the fucking channel if'n I am not happy with the current fare.
I had a very short but unpleasant encounter with one of the dudes on the forum some time back and I started thinking that I was just going to say fuck it to this forum and walk away. But I thought again and figured why deprive myself of the opportunity to learn more about my chosen religion or philosophy because of one dude that seems to be carrying some excess and very heavy baggage and perhaps has had a rough go of it. I thought about the ignore option for just the one dude but I found that when I would read threads that something was missing. So I un-ignored this person and found that although some of what I read was maybe a little unpleasant that I was at least getting the whole story.
Point is that there are always going to be unpleasantries in this life because that's what life is. But the perplexing thing about pain is that it does not, by nature, bring suffering into one's life. It's all about how I choose to deal with it or how I allow it to fuck with me and my serenity. So for that reason I tend to not be a fan of banning people from forums because they disturb some shit. Maybe I have some shit in my long-ass shadow bag that I drag through life with me that needs to be disturbed so I can really look at it. That's what happened with the encounter I referred to earlier. So maybe somebody who makes me feel a little uncomfortable is actually doing me a service by causing me to take a look in the mirror.
And if all else fails there's always the ignore option.
Of course I'm not a mod and I don't have the welfare of this forum to worry about. But maybe by having some difficulties to deal with I'm learning tolerance which contributes to peace and isn't that what this shit is all about? Anyway?

Also I would like to make it clear that the admins are often discussing "problem" individuals without making the fact public.

So we may not look like we are doing anything when in fact we have spent weeks already trying to come up with a balanced and just decision at least giving a dude a chance to redeem themselves.

What you see publicly is usually the end result of extensive discussion and debate.

forum: a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

This would not be much of a forum (according to the lexical definition of the word) if everybody agreed with, and had the same general worldview, as everybody else, now would it Homonid?  If everybody basically agreed with everybody else, then this wold be more of a "clique", would it not?

In other words: if one does not like I Love Lucy, then one need not watch it.  Similarly, if one does not like what I want to post, then one need not read my posts.  Simple.

And for another thing: if diversity of opinion and expression were implicitly not allowed in the Dudeism Forum clique, then Dudeism (as you know it, anyway), would rapidly turn into an out-and-out cult.  For my part, I do not want to be part of any kind of cult.  Do you, Homonid?

Fuck it.

Say Dude, want to get a lane with me and play a frame or two?  I'll buy the first round of drinks, at that.

As I am fairly new to this beach community. I can say I have seen a number interesting posts with good info and good discussion. I have also seen some over the line posts that should be marked zero. I think this is true of any forum I am not sure who this was directed at. I have seen one name going off topic, being a real reactionary, and sometimes a human paraquat. However I have learned to ignore his posts and just abide. Because the number of interesting dudes with new shit to bring to light outweighs the paraquats. So I say look at it as a test to rise above and remain dude. Follow the lane and not fall into the gutter with those who are to uptight to abide. But that's just like my opinion man.

Good words Sleeve dude - and welcome to our little beach community.  Grab a rug and a lane, the bar's over there!
