Lebowski Fest (or other) in the RDU/Triangle area of NC

There was once a Lebowski Fest in Greensboro, but it was a long time ago. I watched the documentary "The Achievers" last night and wondered... How would I go about having some sort of Lebowski Fest or Lebowskirama in my area? In my actual city, there's nothing (I mean fucking nothing), but in RDU and the Triangle, there's so much more. I go there quite often, since it's very close.

Any other dudes ever planned such a thing? Is Lebowski Fest only from that one group? Is it worth planning?

I have some dude friends that I hook up with from time to time, we do a "dude's night out" kind of thing. It includes...

- Early dinner at In N Out Burger (those are good burgers, Walter), next...

- Bowling at a local Alley, next...

- The local Beer Joint after rolling a few down the lanes for a few oat sodas, next...

- Back to the In N Out Burger for another one or two (or a pile of fries), next...

- Head over to one of the dude's private residences to watch TBL, next...

- Burn a J, next...

- Pass out, wake up, piss on the rug out in the backyard designated for such purposes, next...

- Pile in one of the dude's dude-mobile and head over to an all-night family restaurant for coffee (forgetting about the fuckin' toe!)...

- 4 to 4:30 AM; head back to the pad to sleep it off until noon or so, next...

- Wake up and try to remember what the hell happen when my special lady friend asks me how it went.

Hey Masked Dude,

A Lebowski anything (even if it were just a public showing of the movie in a cool indie theater with audience costumes) would be awesome in the Triangle. I'm over in Winston myself and, well, I'd be there, man. Greensboro has that old theater (Carolina theater?) downtown that would be cool, and I bet they'd be interested in an event like this.

Also, food trucks are becoming very popular around these parts. Now, the Dude predated food trucks but, in my opinion (and many learned men have disputed this) the food truck is one of the dudeliest ways of eating.  If you ask me, and I could see that being a major part of GSO Lebowskifest.

I figured people would either know what RDU is, or they'd ask. The Triangle is Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill. They're pretty much the same basic area, really.

For right now, I won't call it a Lebowski Fest, as that is their name. I'll call it a Lebowski-Rama. If the official dudes do hold it in RDU, I'll change it accordingly. I'm a bit nervous/hesitant to share the Facebook page link but here it is: Lebowski-Rama RDU
