A Dude

Sitting on the porch, listening to the rain, smoking and drinking some Scotch. I know it should be a White Russian but I'm out of Vodka.

Scotch is always a good choice. It's usually my first choice. I love a good single malt.

Don't worry about the white russians (caucasions). There is no need to try to be exactly like the Dude. Just be yourself. It's all about the attitude, not the details.  8)

If it works for you why stress about it?

I like the White Russian (Caucasian) but because I am a tea drinker they give me a huge caffine buzz and I find it hard to sleep  after a few.

I'm afraid scotch (blended) makes me a little "punchey". I have to stick to single malts myself.

Yeah man, I was just going on about the White Russian, I tend more toward Scotch and Whiskey myself. I do like the occasional Russian. I've had to cut back on all of it since I had the heart attack. Liquor and all the meds. they put me on don't go together to well.  :(

Sounds like you're taking to the abiding ethos like a duck to water.

I'm with you.

A rum man, I appreciate Ron Zacapa 23 which is an excellent aged beverage.  Over a cube of ice, out in the hills one night, staring up at all of heaven's creations twinkling in the night - had myself a unifying moment of clarity.

A little of that throwback pepsi works too if you don't like it straight, but it's good shit.

Dude or Dude not. There is no "should."

I am a huge fan of Forty Creek Whiskey out of Grimsby, ON Canuckia. If anybody gets a chance, get your hands on the Copper Pot bottle.
You can drink a tonne (if that's your thing) and not feel it in the morning.

Love the Caucasian but my longtime favorite has been the gin & tonic. Tried a brand of gin recently - called Amsterdam - and it was pretty dang good. Still like a good Brit gin though.

I'm a pretty big gin fan myself. My go-to is usually Bombay (that blue bottle really works!) but have also tried Amsterdam and quite enjoyed. Another one that I have expanded my palette with is Broker's, and you even get a sweet little bowler hat on top to amuse yourself with when you've had enough.

Dude this is awesome! I love you, man. I love your sentence. I love it's origin and its becoming.
This is going printed, 5 foot long, 3 larges. You gave me my the creed I was looking for here.

That is some nice shit.  I live in Ontario, and buy it often.  Though I still like Jim Beam Black.  It's got a nice bite to it.

And I love you for loving it! Just seemed to fit so nicely in there. I've definitely been trying to live it since it popped into my head...

I too am a rum man, but during my grandfather's wake, my English cousin showed me a delicious combination. Maker's Mark, ginger-ale and a little tonic water. Delicious
