A new Dude here...

I haven't seen The Big Lebowski in a few years, caught it on the movie channel last night and my eyes were opened... I have been born again. I am 44 years old, weighed down by the stresses of living in this fast paced, gotta make the money, have a 2 story 2 car garage lifestyle. I am self-employed and all the stress has been killing me, man. I had a heart attack 3 months ago and have had other health problems. As I was watching The Dude I realized this is the way I want to live. I got on the internet and found what I have been searching for all my life, Dudeism! I have tried other religions and they didn't work, but Dudeism is for me. I hope to be able to come to my fellow Dudes here on the forum for guidance in my new faith. The nihilist out there will try to side track me but when they do I'll just tell them " Well, that's just like, your opinion, man." This Dude is going to Abide.

Take it easy A Dude. Life is too short as it is. Hope you're finding some to relax now. Kick back and enjoy our quiet little beach community. Take the stress off for a while at least dude.

Welcome Dude. Relax and enjoy yourself. I was once in your shoes, and not all that long ago, except I wasn't self-employed. I recently jumped ship, and while I still have issues, I find the simpler life is agreeing with me more and more. My health is improving, my outlook is much better, and hopefully I'll make it to 50 and beyond. (It was definitely not assured a couple of years ago).
