Hey, fellow dudes. I need your opinion on something. I'm in middle school, and my Vice Principal is being very un-dude. I don't necessarily want to write a paragraph about what she does, because I'm very busy, as I can imagine you are. I just want to know, is it a dudely thing to do for a dude to stand up for his fellow dudes and report her to the Principal or Superintendent with a bunch of other kids who are tired of her?

Understand her unchecked aggression is just like her opinion, man. And, you will be out and on your way to high school soon, so don't get a rash about it. Nothing is fucked here, dude.

I would suggest you are very careful as any action you take will no doubt have lasting repercussions. Perhaps a discrete conversation without any finger pointing with a guidance councillor could be a starter?

If it's something especially horrendous then yes, see a guidance counselor. Keep in mind that sometimes, as in my old high school, the students were regarded as untrustworthy and/or lying. It may be that they assume you're too young to have a real opinion and side with the faculty as an unwritten rule.

So look deeply into the whole situation and think about if you want to fight this one. However I have to give you credit for being coolheaded enough to ask for help and wisdom.

Cheer up little dude, enjoy your youth while you have it and try not to be in such a hurry to grow up because you'll miss your childhood when you get older.

Actually, I am very interested in what she does. Is she mildly sarcastic and cutting to you? In which case get over it and move on with your life: worse things will happen, trust me. Or is she really controlling and divisive, does she threaten you with the 'Permanent Record' or your parents' credit rating and all that shit? Because if so, shop the bitch ASAP.


The Dude is an educated man: he might be an underachiever, but his underachievement is evidence-based, it's not the hysterical 'society is to blame' underachievement of the un-Dudely.


So quantify your complaint, man: tell us as objectively and dispassionately as you can what she does. Information is power - be powerful.
