Hey masked Dude.....

That's the dudely way....I'd been around....got married...divorced...then a long relationship with a beautiful kid...done it all been everywhere with all that relationship shit! Fuck it!

So I decried it, in fact I went a little bit further! I stated to all and sundry that no matter what woman I went with and no matter what I felt for her I would NEVER be a fool again. Any woman that went out with me would have to live by my own rules and if there was just one argument...just one raised voice...just one bit of discontent...warranted or not...I'd dump her!! Flat!

And that worked for quite a while. I was doing well, I was living life my way and doing what I wanted to do and having fun. And I must say was being very dudely, the ladies knew what I was on about and I was straight up with them from the start and it was a pretty cool time.

Then this amazing girl walked in...it wasn't as if I didn't know what I'd said....I just forgot it....I seriously didn't want to play by those rules any more and I definitely didn't want her to play those rules, she was kind of everything I'd ever been looking for all my life. Everything. And we flew....and we flew....and she crashed but I'm still flying mate.

I still see her every day and I love her as much as she loves me.

Never say never my friend.

Hey masked Dude.....

Never say never my friend.

Glad you found your special lady! (Really.) As for me, I've been single for quite a long time. I've never had any sort of "my way or the highway" type idea. I think that works for some, male and female, but it's just never appealed to me. But I can safely say never. I don't look anymore, even turned down date offers a while back, and I don't believe in the notion that you'll find a special someone when you don't look. I know you did, and that's freaking fantastic, but at least you were still open to the idea. I've closed down that idea. :)

And as I told a lady friend of mine while we were discussing dating, for the most part it's still the boy asks out the girl. So by just not going for it, I've closed that down.

I have a whole list of sick Cynthia's lol. The first one spent 6 years supporting her through school bent over backwards to make her happy. 2 weeks before her grad she dumped me for a guy in her class I quote " I'm not happy can I have the law and order DVDs " not even joking. Next was a 2 1/2 year nightmare as a favorite rebound guy. Date me for the emotional pick me up and kick me to the curb for some loser. Only to come crawling back a couple months later complaining about how horrible he was it her I let her back 4 times before finally cutting her out of my life completely. Those were the worst two I am now currently dealing with the latest. Who chose a mining camp job over me but still wants me to be a special friend when she comes home. As much as I would like a permant special lady friend in the parlance of our times I'm not sure that really exists anymore. I think it may be better to follow the dudes example and stick to the bachelor life.

Does any dude here know what Cynthia might have looked like? Speculation?
