Everybody takes a fair bit of crap from other people, right from when they're a little nipper, and it's tempting to dump some of that anger, resentment and what have you on anyone who presents themself as a legitimate target. When someone wrongs me now, I tend to package in all that collected shit and say "here you go asshole, you can have all this hate as a job-lot". That's not great at the best of times, but if you're holding a gun, it's real tempting to unleash that festering anger in a very violent way. We can end up just looking for a justification to pull the trigger because the truth is it feels good to get all that shit out of your system. But is it wise?

You damn right it would have been! If two thugs came into my pad kicking the door down and tried to do to me or anyone in my home what they did to the dude, I guarantee you they would be flying back out the door with a hole in their chests wide enough to drive a Mac truck through. That is a movie, a great one, but still a movie. That was a home invasion, a serious felony, with intent to threaten and do bodily harm; come in my pad and try that and I hope your funeral insurance is paid up.

Dude, a dude has, as does anyone, the right to defend himself. And the dude was not above doing so...



I hate violence, but hey, if it works and is needed, OK then.
