A man for his time and place...

I love Jeff Bridges.  I loved him when I first saw him in The Last Picture Show way back in 1971.  I loved him when he played Jack Baker in The Fabulous Baker Boys.  I was thrilled when he finally won an Academy Award playing Bad Blake in Crazy Heart a few years ago.  And I was a little disappointed last year that he wasn?t recognized again for his re-creation of Rooster Cogburn in True Grit.  But of all the movies that Jeff Bridges has appeared in, to me none come even close to his performance as the ?Dude? in The Big Lebowski...

As a side note and I hate to ask but people here might know.
What is up with the way he talks? Seems to have come on in later years.
Even in the Vid above he talks clear. Now he seems to have marbles in his mouth.
It's probably some personal health issue so I hate to seem insensitive, but it is driving me nuts wondering.

I have noticed that; someone suggested concerning one video that he might have had some dental work done and was on pain killer or had part of his mouth numbed and was having some problems talking because of it. I commented that perhaps the dude had just burned a J. Has he been like that in other videos you have seen, BD?
