I can understand people like Dylan not wanting people profiting of his name, what with signed anything being sold all over the net. And they must have heard every excuse there is to get a squiggle on apiece of paper. I can sympathise with both parties in your storey dude.

Hey BD - you'r signature pic is broke...

No way!?
It's working here.
Try a ctrl-f

That's odd - I can see it now.  If I see that again, I'll do a screen shot for you.  There's a one-pixel black outline of the image, and  small icon in the middle... Perhaps Chrome is having a bad day.

When I was training to be a yoga teacher back in London i met this groovy French chick called Agnes on the course. Her sister Helene, was a massive Blob Dylan fan, so she travelled back to France to see him on some sort of French or European tour. Anyhow Blob recognised her from the last time he had played in France, chatted with her and realised she was a real serious fan. So he invited her to join him on the tour bus for the whole tour (he didn't shag her, he was just being nice). It was the best thing that ever happened in that chick's life and was a pure act of spontaneous kindness. That's why I find it a little difficult to see his Bobfullnes as a cunt. But if you look hard enough for the bad in people i guess you'll turn something up. Just not sure how useful that is.

Agnes changed her name to Marianne ( because English people pronounce Agnes 'agnis' rather than 'an-yes)' and became an artist

Not really relevant to the thread but her pictures are intense.

I hear what you're saying - no one is 100% evil. I guess what we do as "judges" is decide where the tipping point is, because life is too complicated, and we need to see things in black and white. We don't have the mental faculties to constantly deal in shades of grey when it comes to forming opinions about this and that person who we'll never meet. So, for me who has never met Bob Dylan, I loose huge respect for him due to his own bad judgement and ego. I guess Agnes thinks the world of him, and would see him as more good than bad.

I see Garnet Rogers as an intensely emotional uptight guy who is largely still the center of his own universe. I needed to rant about his asshole behaviour, and I appreciate the audience (and solidarity). Is he more evil than good? No. I just won't ever buy his music, or go to any of his shows ever again. Not that I hold a grudge, but I don't want his negativity reaching into my life.

When at "the top" and in public view, we're much more accountable for our behaviour, so when these ego centric musicians whom we idol-worship let us down, we feel personally harmed. In the end, it's us who put them there, right?

Just some meandering thoughts I guess...

'Garnet Rogers' that some kinda 'Western' thing?

I ain't never met a lot of famous people but i do have one 'celebrity' story and i don't think I've ever told it before. I used to work with drug addicts; mainly using yoga, herbs and acupuncture to help them clean up. Anyhow one time this really sweet chick came to me desparate to get of heroin. She had a young daughter, and in spite of her addiction, was a great mother. She needed to get into rehab' but i just couldn't find anywhere that would take her and her kid unless she funded it herself (of course she had no money). I really tried, but just ran out of options. So she took things into her own hands. We lived not far from Paul McCartney and she had the balls to climb over his fence and walk right up to his door. By chance he answered in person and his first response was "what are you doing on my property?" But he listened to her story and paid for her and her daughter to spend three months in a groovy rehab. I bumped into her a couple of years later in town and she was clean, happy and doing great.

i met a chick once round at Bob Geldoff's house. she had been doing a bit of singing in his chapel (he owns an old priory in Faversham). anyhow i couldn't get over how groovy it sounded so i went up to her in the garden a bit later and said "the way you sang was just fantastic, no accompanyment, no amplification and your voice was incredible. I've never heard anything like it".  she replied very shyly "tank ya very much, dats very kind." A friend of mine came up to me later and said "d'you know who that was?" I said "Yeah that's the chick who was singing in the chapel" He said " You dick, that's Sinead O'Conner".

Do you not know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour?  You don't know what you're missing out on!!!  A lifetime of guilt, oppressed feelings, but forgiveness when you diddle with little boys and fuck your daughter and secretary, and most of ALL - you get to shove your opinion down everyone's throat, and tell them they're going to hell if they don't believe EXACTLY what you do! Then there's all that scientific evidence you get to ignore with your new-found arrogant holier-than-thou conceited un-informed opinion. Come, join the club!!!!!!!
