;D Had to post this from a dude friend of mine........

:o This is just like their opinion, man..........

::) Talking about her iPad; this genius said...

"Some people are just sad when they aren't talking on their iPad, I'm one of them" - Lily Binteri

::) And this mixed up person tell us...

"Without my iPad I am nothing, with my iPad, I have power and purpose." - Ifeanyi Enoch Olnuoha

::) And last, but not least; this Apple slave comments...

"After spending hours and hours with it, I believe this beautiful new iPad device from Apple has
the potential to change reality as we know it, and to challenge the primacy of the human being."
- Edwin H. Caigey

Are these Apple iPad geeks CRAZY, or what?! :o :o :o

I've used and developed for most OS's. Including apple.
Mac got a little hairy around 9 when it was still based on the original os and it was supporting backward compatibility to all flavors of software and hardware. Once they moved off that to the Free BSD Unix kernal things improved.
I generally find that all the os's I've worked with are perfectly fine.
I find the religious devotion to one or the other puzzling. And mac heads are singular in their devotion.
I don't feel strongly which brand of refrigerator I use as long as it keeps my beer cold.
Why would anybody care? The devotion to an operating system is as odd IMHO.

People care about brands because they like to associate themselves with the qualities they perceive the brand as representing.

In the case of Apple this is the creative, well-designed, slight outsider vibe. They want something which has a little bit of flair, finish and quality about it. It's only very loosely about functionality. Apple - because I'm worth it (or whatever). No self-respecting metrosexual with a designer, leather man-bag is going to be seen dead with anything other than an iphone and an ipad. But then I'm guessing you don't fall into that catergory BD.

Masked Dude

It is possible to be an outsider if you own an iPhone or iPad? It's like saying you're different because you drive a Honda.

;D Love this one from Jobs...

"It feels great to have the iPad launched into the world - it's going to be a game changer."

- Steve Jobs - Apple's chief executive

"A game changer?" :o

;D And this one....

"Look what happened 20 years ago. It (Apple Macintosh computer) completely took over the universe. And I think that's what we're seeing here with the iPad.
"

- Leander Kahney - Editor of cultofmac.com

"took over the universe?" :o

That was my first thought, too. But then I might be getting too old for this shit.

What I see when I see an iPhone user is someone of relatively low technical ability who is happy to pay too much for a status symbol. It's a judgment but one that is neither positive nor negative, and if that's their bag I've no problem with it. Happiness is increasingly hard to come by in our mixed up world, and if it's an iPhone that does it for someone, I'm all for it.
I'm just gone, man, totally fucking gone.

Feeling kinda embarrassed now - but yeah, that's me dude. My iPhone is my only true friend in this cruel, hard world.

It's a phone, man, it's not like you're dating outside your species. The Dude had his custom ball, ya know.

I ought to clarify: When I say things like "relatively low technical ability", I'm coming from the perspective of a software engineer who's been using Unix and its derivatives for more'n 30 years.

If I had to choose between Windoze and Mac, I'd go Mac without hesitation. But I don't have to make that choice.  :)

That used to be my main criteria for 'dating' - Two legs good, four legs bad.

But I can't afford to be so fussy these days.

;D More Wit and Wisdom from iPad users...

"Apple's tablet is fun, simple, stunning to look at and blazingly fast. I would be lost without it, just totally lost."

- Quint Munroe

"The iPad could eventually become my TV, my newspaper and my bookshelf. With it, thanks to Apple, I have joined a worldwide group of like minded folks."

- David Dundast

"With an iPad you Have the Power to Fulfill Your Dreams!"

- Peggy Bates

And last, but not least...

"People laughed at us for using the word magical. But you know what? It turned out to be magical."
   LMAO!! "magical?"

- Steve Jobs
