Boy Scout program

My boss, who is also an ordained minister here, and myself have been considering starting on a "religious emblem" program for the Boy Scouts.  We thought we'd see what the good dudes here thought of the idea.  It would include some basic information on Dudeism that would be expanded on as the scouts got to be older.  We would need to design some medals that they could be awarded as they make their way through the program.  What say the dudes here?

I can help, if needed, with layout and other design. I had a similar idea for a fiction series I was working on but this sounds like something I'd get on board with!

See if they had had a Dudeship badge I would have stayed with them when i was ten instead of deciding it was too much of a fascist regime and not bothering after that.

I never thought of that idea,cuz all I think about is the famous line "We dont need no steekin badges!"....My mind works that way..must be an acid flashback,or something...

Point of order not "Dude-ett", not the accept nomenclature here (as keeper of the Crusade myself) a Dude is a Dude, is a Dude, independent of genitalia.

Also, let's not forget - let's not forget, Dude - that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city - that ain't legal either

We actually just checked into it earlier today and discovered that the boy scouts and girl scouts both use the same criteria for this type of thing.  The only difference being that the boy scouts get medals and I believe the girl scouts would get patches.

Masked dude we may very well take you up on that.  We can handle the actual organizational part and have the imagination we need to come up with the ideas for medals and program, but our artistic talent is somewhat lacking.  I'm sure we'll need some help designing the certificates if nothing else.

What would the kids have to do to earn the medal/patch ?
Not to be too negative about your cool idea but not sure if the ethos of dudeism and the boy scouts are mutually comparable dudes

It could be something as easy as a nomination for an award/medal/patch. It doesn't have to be earned per se, but sort of a list of possible achievements, your local adult-ish Dude says, hey, this little Dude did a good job at something, then tells the ones in charge, then BAM, Little Dude gets the achievement.

There are sites where you can get embroidered patches made, even some that are screen printed patches. The cost is a bit high, though. My idea for my other project was a little book you'd download, print up, and then put in stickers. Sort of like those books you can get from stores now with Tinkerbell and comic book characters, with a dotted line for a sticker... I hope I'm making sense.

I do think you are onto something there! I like that idea,dude!
