Joined a bowling league today

I'm psyched, joined the bowling league at work today(well, technically yesterday, but I haven't been to sleep yet).  Been working there 19 years, never knew there was a league.  Of course, I don't feel bad because there were people who've been there 30+ years who didn't know about it until I told them!  A new guy just took over, and actually decided to let people know about it by putting a notice  on the company website.  Unfortunately, I couldn't get anybody from my department to join a team (200+ people, one bowler: me).  At least I'll get to meet new people.  Hopefully I'll get put on a team with somebody who's at least seen TBL. but,  a wiser  fella than m'self once said, sometimes you eat the bar and sometimes the bar, wal, he eats you.  I guess I'll find out.

Cool. I went bowling with my wife and sons last week and had a good time. I even wore my Lebowskifest bowling shirt, which my sons found hilarious.

It was more expensive than I remember, though. I think it's because the bowling alley just remodeled itself and is trying to be "upscale."

Did you inform the fucks down at the league office that you won't be acting as the bag man during league play, no beepers during league, and that if they schedule the semis on the Shabbas that you DON'T ROLL ON SHABBAS! Five weeks into it, my team is in last place, but we lead the league in having FUN.  (I just wish we could have fun,AND win once in a while)   Ah, Fuck It.
