Well, it is serious dude. We as human beings wouldn't be human beings without our senses.

Even someone missing a particular sense is somehow different, maybe gifted in other areas.

Lots of creatures that exist have all sorts of senses we dont

certain insects see ultraviolet, and infrared light that humans cant.  There are probably senses that animals have that we don't even KNOW about.

But my point is that senses help define us like our memories do. But what happens when you die? You lose your senses, you cant feel see or hear you cant taste or smell, cause your dead.  You ARE going to die someday. That's absolute. Joe Rogan once said something to the effect of 'you dont know what death is, and if you are going to prepare for it, why not experiment with drugs'  I know I didn't say it as well as he did, but its essentially true.

anyway, so depriving yourself of those senes really gives you something for your brain to think about. That pesky subconsious just gets in the way so you have to come back to reality at some point.  But deffinately isolation sounds better. Even though it's somewhat an oxymoron, because when you're in that state you don't feel isolated at all. If anything you feel to unbound and surrounded by other things...space things. muwhaha...alright i gotta go. later
You're damned if you dude, you're damned if you don't.

Bit of a late reply - while I've never tried one of the tanks (though I'd like to) I do have a lot of experience with various types of brainwave entrainment.

I personally find isochronic tones to be more effective than binaural beats - there's LOTS of great free stuff at the iso-tones website (sorry, can't post links - it's just a dot com).

Take it easy.

The Guro

Those both sound great! I will check em out...

I am hyper aware and a few other issues that keep me from sleeping easily... Thanks for the info Dudes!
