So, this was kind of rushed but I'm 14 and I only watched TBL earlier this year. I instantly fell in love with everything the dude stands for. Then I discovered dudeism and it wasn't a massive shock to see a religion based on TBL but it seems that I have been a dudeist for years without knowing it. For years I was an atheist but all I did was chill out and, well, fuck it all. So, did anyone else find dudeism a name for something they had previously done? Thanks dudes.

Hey dude, welcome to our beach community! Good to see you here, mang. We need more teen aged dudes.

Not sure what you are asking when you say......

"So, did anyone else ind dudeism a name for something they had previously done? Thanks dudes."

Say again, dude?

Yeah...actually many (who) have joined our nice quiet beach community have told similar stories. I think there's an old thread on the subject around here somewhere.
Welcome dude. 8)

Totally Dude!
I just posted my story of how I discovered I was Dudeist my whole life and didn't know it.
As you have probably noticed on the main website, Dudeism has always existed, and my historical Dudes have shared their version of it through out history! In non-TBL terms, we are basically talking about Taoism/Buddhism/Epicureanism here: the core ideas being the same revelations that enlightened human beings have tried to share in the past.
Essentially, by using TBL as the metaphor, The Church of Later Day Dude has made manifest an contemporary American version of what is called in the far east: the way of liberation.

Or at least, that is how I understand it.
Of-course, that is just my opinion Dude.
May Peace, Love, and Grooviness be with you... Always!
