Hello

So I'm french, and I was amazed by the film. It opened my eyes, and I recognized something of me in the Dude.

I'm a peace-lover man, I never bother for anything better than my own little and unineteresting life, I don't care about job, I don't care about economics policy, I just care about writing scenariis, having a good rest, sometimes making love, and certainly never smash my head with funny ideas like "hey how about a good rising on the social ladder?"

In my opinion, the Dude represents a category of people which is not integrated in the society, a marginal who doesn't want to go in the ranks.

But I think the guy is right in his point of view, because it's for me the best way to apprehend the life, with its lot of advertisings and reality-shows, a world in which one demands you to have an opinion in all thing, and the Dude, look, he'd sit in his seat like a wreck, and all he would say would be "look, man, my whole opinion is fuck'em all, man".

Turtle

well i dunno if he would say "fuck em all", i think he would say "fuck this, lets go bowling".

Careful man, there's a beverage here!

No funny stuff, ok?

Dude,

You're so fucking right - that's it!  But to step aside from Lebowski-speak, I believe you are totally correct except here's the real; man - we may be marginalized by the rug-pissing climbers, but we are the true center of the experience that is life's river.

BTW - if your Frenchness is anything but a solid bunch of family roots, you write English with a beautiful style.

And the thoughts - they are the colors on that strong canvas.

Dude - call me friend.
