Hey Dudes.

I am preparing a campaign to get Olly on the Colbert Report, I have some inside peeps that are helping as well. We plan to start after the Nightline interview that will happen on Monday the 23rd.

Looking for input from the community here, your thoughts an what have you. I will be getting support from Colbert Nation community as well. When the time is right I will post the address so any Dudes that are willing can send a letter to Colbert urging him to have Duder on as a guest.

the Colbert bump is no minor thing, it could swell our little beach community, give Dudes out there, that have not heard the Dude word, the clues they need to find their way hear and into other parts of the community.

As soon as you get an address to email, I'll send in a letter to Colbert asking for an interview with the Dudely lama for sure, mang. Great idea! What does Ollie think of it? Seems like he would dig your style, man!

We're timing it for the greatest impact, will be posting the address probably Tuesday or Wednesday.

Off topic a little, I have been in the Colbert Nation for a while, even a forum mod there, but that era is coming to an end. Comedy Central is closing our forum down. They have this horendous software, and they have caused much grief in the Nation. There have been some epic battles to save the board, but it is ending in a matter of weeks. I have like hundreds of bummed out friends over there right now. But many are poised to help get Olly on the show, and some have been helping me put this together for a couple of weeks. The closer we get, the more new shit will come to light.

The plan is to hit them with the official letter and a bunch of fan letters at the same time. I think it would hilarious seeing conservative Colbert interviewing "take 'er easy" Olly, the Juxtaposition would be amazing. Suit and tie vs robe and sandals. Can already here Colbert saying "the bums have lost sir"

Get ready Dudes, starting to pull this together. What we are looking to do is have your personal letters get there at about the same time as the official package, Colbert diggs coordinated fan efforts, shit he's built his career on it. Y'all are not alone, also have a bunch of members from the Colbert Nation on board with this, they dig Olly's style and would love to see him across the table from Stephen.

No pressure of course, but if you are so inclined check back here for details.

This is not to be taken as anything more than a suggestion, I just happen to think it would cool if we got Olly on the show, I think it would be good for Dudeism and for Colbert's audience. Abide as you see fit, but if ya dig this idea it could use a little momentum.

I missed the broadcast of the April 23rd Nightline and when I looked it up on ABC's site there was no mention of Olly being in the episode. Was he on there as part of the Sign of the Times segment?

I second the bowling challenge. Maybe ollie dude could have a white russian while steve dude sips his 'colbert bump'(cherry bounce).  I'd also like to see Colbert dressed as the Jesus, just because he sort of fits the bill. 
A good topic to discuss might be how dudeism is not the same as lebowskiism? Got nothin to lose, what the hell right?
