I watched the movie and sceptical as I was to begin with I get the idea and the premise.

As real as this story is, there is underlying reasons behind every action. There are reasons several world governments including the UN are getting behind this movement. Same as Iraq, this is being used politically to rally the troops into another movement in a region. I am not saying that this guy Kona isn?t an ahole but as a former Army Dude I hate to see things come up that put my brothers and friends in harm?s way.

Oil was recently found in uganda. The chinese national oil company has made a deal to extract it. Kony has not been seen in years but due to this movement there are now US "advisers" on the ground and the Kony 2012 movement has been raking in tall amounts of cash selling their kits of stickers and other useless crap with a small portion funding the ugandan military to help track down kony. They also use very young soldiers. It is normal in africa to use child soldiers as people there die young. It is sad but the way of life but buying some stickers from a crooked company made popular by the US military industrial complex as an excuse to try to push china out of oil fields seems sad as well. Say what you want about the chinese socialist oil company but they at least want to go in and pay for the oil not occupy the land then steal it.
